DAY 1 – Tuesday, October 21, 2025:

Exploring School Leadership Frameworks & Building Community 

  • Build trust and a professional learning community while launching your leadership inquiry journey,
  • Review key school improvement frameworks and tools,
  • Explore core leadership capabilities,
  • Examine how Ontario’s leadership priorities relate to current challenges and opportunities in schools,
  • Gain an introduction to the Leadership Canvas, including initiating both a Personal Leadership Inquiry (PLI) and Leadership Plan Framework (LPF).

DAY 2 – Wednesday, October 22, 2025:

Learning from Practice
– School Field Visits
 

  • Participate in structured, on-site learning through curated school-based field visits that showcase “improvement in action”,
  • Observe exemplary leadership practices,
  • Reflect on key priorities—including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), well-being, student achievement, Indigenous education, and sustainability,
  • Contribute to your Leadership Canvas through observation, guided dialogue and collaborative reflection.

DAY 3 – Thursday, October 23, 2025:

School Leadership for Impact, Coherence & Sustainability

  • Synthesize learning and define next actions to advance your personal leadership inquiry and leadership plan framework,
  • Clarify leadership commitments that foster inclusive, student-centred environments and sustainable change, leaving with a full framework for your plan and pathways for continued growth.
  • Connect and collaborate further! You'll be invited to an optional evening networking social—a relaxed opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional community.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where does EduForum take place?

EduForum takes place October 21–23, 2025, at OISE, University of Toronto, with field visits to select K-12 schools across the Greater Toronto Area (transportation to the field visits is included). An optional Evening Networking Social is also offered.

Who should attend EduForum?

EduForum is tailored for principals, vice-principals, department heads, instructional coaches, and aspiring leaders committed to advancing their school improvement practice. Both emerging and experienced leaders from public, Catholic, and independent schools are welcome.

What will I gain from participating?

You will explore school leadership frameworks, learn from curated field visits to exemplary GTA schools, develop a Personal Leadership Inquiry and Leadership Plan Framework, earn a certificate from OISE CPL, and expand your professional network within a small, collaborative cohort.

How do I register and what is the cost?

Registration is $799+HST per participant.

  • You will be prompted to log into the Learner Portal: 
  • Create an account, or use the “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” functions as needed 
  • Note: Password reset links expire after 30 minutes; if this occurs, simply repeat the reset process 
  • Complete your registration and submit payment online by credit card 
What's included in the registration fee?
Your registration covers full participation in the three-day EduForum program, including expert facilitation, access to exemplar schools during field visits, and all program materials. You’ll also enjoy refreshments and lunch each day, as well as transportation to and from field visit locations.

 

What happens after I register?
  • You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration and payment
  • A Welcome Email with event details and preparation materials will follow closer to the event date 
What if registration is full?
  • In the event that the EduForum you have selected is full, you may be able to place your name on a wait list
  • Wait lists are not available for every EduForum – if a wait list is available, you will see a link to it on the this landing page. If you add your name to the list, you'll be notified if a space becomes available for registration 
What is the Withdrawal and Refund Policy for the EduForum?

Withdrawal Deadline for Refund:
Participant withdrawals received by October 6, 2025 are eligible for a 100% refund 

How to Withdraw:
To withdraw, email a written request to oise.cpl@utoronto.ca by the deadline noted above. No refunds will be issued for participant withdrawals received after October 6, 2025 

Program Cancellations:
All EduForums are subject to sufficient registration.
OISE Continuing and Professional Learning reserves the right to cancel an EduForum if minimum registration is not achieved.
A full refund will be issued in the event of a cancellation 

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, all participants receive a certificate of participation from OISE Continuing & Professional Learning (CPL), University of Toronto upon completion.

Can I use professional development funds to attend EduForum?

EduForum is an in-province, Ministry-aligned professional learning opportunity that supports leadership development and school improvement goals. Many Ontario school boards provide PD allocations for experiences like this.

We encourage you to speak with your principal, superintendent, or professional learning coordinator about accessing board-level PD funding to support your attendance.
